I’ve already taken a nap today, so let’s see if I can manage to do this without falling asleep in the middle. That’s so embarrassing. FYI: I saw the prompt (I know, I know, I cheated, but nyahnyahnyah) and I think I’m gonna go wacky. Plus my brain is fried so I have no idea where this thing could go.

“That’s a big, wonderful word that can cover up a lot of sins,” she said. “I work. That’s what I call what I do.”

(Ohhhh, by the way, I’m gonna start putting the responses after the jump, so, yea, away we go!)

“That’s a big, wonderful word that can cover up a lot of sins,” she said. “I work. That’s what I call what I do.” Jess looked at Nate with an air of satisfaction.

“Mutant vampire slug slayer?” He asked.

“Yep.”

“You do know that’s a video game occupation and that you just play the video game in which slaying vampire mutated snails-”

“Mutant vampire slugs.”

“Right. That. A video game in which slaying ‘mutant vampire slugs’ is an actual career.”

“Oh totally! But here’s what I’m thinking, I could take the skills that I’ve learned in Tarturina,”

“Where?”

Jess gave Nate an annoyed look. “Tarturina, the city in Lordal that’s over run by Muloslows, the mutant vampire slugs. Duh. Anyway, I can take those skills and totally become a bounty hunter!”

“No.”

“No? Why no?”

“You can not tell me that you’re seriously considering becoming a bounty hunter because of some video game.” Nate said. He crossed his arms over his chest and pursed his lips.

“Whatever, I can totally be a bounty hunter. I’d capture your dumb butt.”

“You’re 21. You need to think this through.”

“Exactly. I know I wanna be super awesome.”

“This is the last time we talk about life plans after a bender.”

“You’ll see, I’m totally looking into hunting bounties in the morning.”

“You’ll be hunting for aspirin and not much else.”

“Shut up, Nate.”

And done! Random and dumb, but for whatever reason the phrase “I work. That’s what I call what I do.” made me think of mutant vampire slugs. I… clearly have issues I need to be working out.
