Five minutes on the clock…

If you want a golden rule that will fit everybody, this is it.

And away we go!

If you want a golden rule that will fit everybody, this is it: “Don’t be so selfish.” If more people thought less about what they wanted and more about the needs of people around them, everything would be much less… frustrating. Like, just because you want to check out your e-mail on your phone while in the middle of traffic so that people behind you get stuck at an intersection because you’re not paying attention, doesn’t mean you should. In that scenario, you should think of others.

But I think some people are so afraid of being considered selfish that they don’t look out for themselves. You need to take care of yourself. Being attentive to your own feelings and not letting people push you around is not selfish, it’s healthy.

I can’t remember where I was going with this, because Adult Swim is distracting me, but the bottom line is that thinking of others does not mean you need to be dependent on others’ thoughts about you. Help others, to be sure; don’t be selfish, of course, but remember to take care of yourself.

Yea that makes no sense. Being hopped up on allergy medicine is not that awesome.
